NeuroSearch A/S announces discontinuation of share purchase programme

Copenhagen, 19 October 2009 - As of today, NeuroSearch (NEUR) has decided to
discontinue the share purchase programme, which was announced in announcement
no. 15-09 of 7 May 2009, and under which the company was authorized to buy back
its own shares for an amount of up to DKK 50 million during 2009.
In the past week, since the issue of the last status announcement no. 53-09 of
12 October 2009, no transactions have been made under NeuroSearch's share
purchase programme.
Hence, upon discontinuance of the programme, NeuroSearch holds a total of
265,946 treasury shares of DKK 20 nominal value each, corresponding to 1.54% of
the total of 17,237,830 issued shares in NeuroSearch A/S.
