Exiqon A/S (”EXQ”) awarded a grant of DKK 24 mill. from the Danish National
Advanced Technology Foundation to develop blood screening for colon cancer
Summary: The Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation today announces a
grant to Exiqon and a consortium of Danish hospitals and universities of DKK 24
million for the development of a diagnostic test for early discovery of colon
and colorectal cancer directly from a simple blood test. The possibility of
detecting colon cancer on the basis of a blood test may introduce the beginning
of a new era within colon cancer treatment.
