In the first half of 2011, the Group generated a cumulative gross electrical output
of 12,987 million kWh, of which electricity generated from our wind power
business accounted for 7,069 million kWh, representing an increase of 44.45%
year on year. Such an increase in the Group's wind power electricity output was
primarily attributable to the growth in wind power installed capacity. The average
availability factor of the Group's wind power generating units was 98.37%,
representing an increase of 0.18 percentage point as compared with 98.19% for
the corresponding period of 2010. The average utilisation hours of wind power
in the first half of 2011 decreased by 16 hours from that over the same period
of 2010 to 1,070 hours, which was primarily due to the impact arising from the
changes in wind resources in certain regions and greater limitations on electricity
output of the grid in certain regions.
