ERBIL -- Iraq's Ministry of Finance has begun to audit oil projects signed by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), a preliminary step towards reconciling the KRG's oil sector with that of the central government.
According to multiple officials from companies operating in the region, Finance Ministry officials began their audit of DNO the week before the Eid holiday, and will begin working Monday at the Taq Taq field, which is being operated by Turkey's Genel Enerji and Sinopec-owned Addax Petroleum.
