Vestas seals 99 MW full EPC turnkey project in Lithuania

Vestas has secured a 99 MW order from Aquila Clean Energy to deliver a full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution for the wind energy project Akmene II in Lithuania. Aside from delivery and installation of the wind turbines, Vestas is also responsible for the project's civil and electrical works.

The project consists of 16 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines together with a 35-year full Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to maximise annual energy production. The project is the extension of the Akmene I 74 MW EPC project with 12 V162-6.2 MW turbines, which have been commissioned during 2023.

Vestas secures 84 MW repowering order in the USA

Vestas has received an 84 MW order to repower an undisclosed wind project in the USA. The repower order consists of 38 V110-2.2 MW turbines.

The orders include supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.

Turbine delivery begins in the third quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Vestas secures a 95 MW order in Argentina

Vestas has received an order for an undisclosed wind project in Argentina. The order includes supply and installation of 21 V150-4.5 MW turbines.

Upon completion, Vestas will also deliver a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement that will optimise energy production while providing long-term business case certainty for the wind farm operations.

Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Vestas pioneered Argentina's wind energy market with the installation of the country's first commercial wind turbine in Comodoro Rivadavia in 1994.

Vestas wins 63 MW order in Türkiye

Vestas has received a 63 MW order from Kangal Energy, Is Portföy Infrastructure VCIF and Is Portfoy Renewable Energy VCIF to extend the five existing wind parks of Kangal, Bereketli, Akyurt, Karaçayir, Konakpinar wind parks. They are all located in Sivas and Tokat, Türkiye.

The contract includes the supply and installation of a total of 12 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and two V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement.

Vestas wins 144 MW order in South Africa

Renewable energy producer African Clean Energy Developments (ACED) has placed a 144 MW order for the Umsinde Emoyeni wind farm, to be located in Western Cape, South Africa. The contract includes the supply and installation of 32 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Sam Cook, ACED's Project Manager for procurement and construction, highlights, "ACED and African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM) have a relationship with Vestas which goes back to the beginning of the wind energy industry in South Africa, in 2011. We are very pleased to be placing yet another order with Vestas, in service of our offtaker Sibanye Stillwater, our shareholders and the communities around our project."

Vestas wins 45 MW order in Türkiye

Vestas secures 114 MW order in Germany

Vestas has received a 114 MW order from SAB WindTeam for the wind energy project Ahlum-Dettum in Lower Saxony, Germany. Vestas will deliver 17 V162-6.2 MW and two V136-4.2 MW wind turbines, and the order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines.

Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement designed to ensure optimised performance of the assets.

Vestas secures a 105 MW order with LEAG in former coal mining area in Germany

Vestas and LEAG have agreed on a 105 MW order for the wind energy project 'Forst-Briesnig II', in Lausitz region, Germany. Vestas will deliver 17 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines, and the order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines. Upon completion, the turbines will be serviced by Vestas under a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the assets.

The wind project, which is being constructed on former brown coal mining area, is the first for LEAG. It was developed by LEAG Renewables GmbH, a subsidiary of LEAG, which specialises in the development and implementation of renewable energy projects. The project is a milestone for the site's transformation to a renewable industrial and energy landscape in the Lausitz region and is part of a greater energy transition project - the GigawattFactory.

Vestas wins 81 MW order in the UK

Vestas has secured an 81 MW order from Invenergy for the wind energy project Pencloe in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland, UK. Vestas will deliver 18 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, and the order includes supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the turbines.

Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement designed to ensure optimised performance of the assets.

Masser af ordrer. Og samlet de jo ganske pænt i forhold til 2023, - ogdet kan stadig komme nye ordrer idag, tænker jeg.

Og alligevel falder den meget. Ved ikke om det er udsigten til Trump som præsident, men han har jo været favorit længe, så der må være andre grunde også. Måske nogen, især amerikanere, er hoppet fra Vestas til GE efter at de har udskilt vind i seperat aktieselskab.

Gad vide om nogensinde eller hvornår de europæiske politikere vågner op??

Der er muligvis en reaktion i markedet, der handler om udsigten til Trump som præsident, efter Bidens nedsmeltning i den 1. debat mellem præsidenskandidaterne.

Men erfaringen fra 1. runde af Trumps 1. periode som er, at energipolitikken først og fremmest styres af delstaterne selv.
Ligesom der er stærke kræfter, også blandt republikanerne, som støtter op om VE.

Slutteligt er behovet for subsidier til VE ikke længere ret stort. Så der er ikke nogen stor "styringsknap" for præsidenten længere.

Indenrigspolitisk i USA er det også afgørende, om møllerne bliver produceret af amerikanere på amerikanske arbejdspladser. Og Vestas har mig bekendt fabrikker i USA.

Uanset Bidens (forventelige?) nedsmeltning, så har trump længe været favorit, hvorfor jeg tænker, at det må netop derfor må være noget andet og mere end det, også fordi, som du rigtigt pointerer, det i vid udstrækning er staterne selv der bestemmer på dette område.

Jeg kan godt få øje på udfordringer, men jeg har dog lidt svært ved at super pessimist mht Vestas. Jeg tog gevinst lidt over kurs 200 og er lige nu fristet til at udnytte faldet til at købe lidt tilbage.

Jeg har lige kigget på regnskaberne for Vestas for 2017 til 2020, den periode hvor Trump var præsident. Og de regnskaber var ganske fine.

Forholdet mellem ordrer i euro og ordrer i GW ser da mere fornuftigt ud nu, end det gjorde for et par år siden.

Et andet centralt spørgsmål er, om "den frie verden" lader kineserne oversvømme markedet med subsidierede møller.

Her kan Trump være en god støtte.

Vestas leverer "tilnærmelsesvis acceptabel" ordreindgang i andet kvartal mener Sydbank

Vestas leverede fredag ordrer i stribevis og klarede sig lige netop "tilnærmelsesvis acceptabelt" ordremæssigt i andet kvartal.

Det vurderer Jacob Pedersen, der er aktieanalysechef i Sydbank, i en kommentar.

Vindmølleproducenten kunne fredag offentliggøre hele ni ordrer, dog uden nogen helt store iblandt. Samlet løb ordrerne fredag op i 830 megawatt, hvoraf den største udgjorde 144 megawatt.

Det betød også, at Vestas med slutspurten kunne notere 2902 megawatt for hele andet kvartal. Til sammenligning annoncerede Vestas i samme kvartal et år før ordrer for 1802 megawatt.

- Vi ved, at ordreindgangen varierer meget mellem kvartalerne. Isoleret kæmper ordreindgangen i andet kvartal sig lige op i "tilnærmelsesvis acceptabelt" niveau, siger Jacob Pedersen i en kommentar.

- En begrænset ordreindgang fra USA - som nok skal vise sig med den høj aktivitet i de næste kvartaler - er en vigtig årsag, og i det lys ser ordreindgangen fra resten af verden faktisk ganske fin ud. Men det samlede indtryk i andet kvartal giver ikke anledning til at finde klaphatten frem, fortsætter han.

Andet kvartal kan dog byde på flere ordrer. Foruden annoncerede ordrer er der også de uannoncerede, der opgøres i forbindelse med Vestas' regnskab for andet kvartal. De udgjorde i andet kvartal af 2023 i alt 531 megawatt.
