Trophy Games' Warhammer AoS: Soul Arena lands major featuring on Google Play store prior to global release

Google Play store has included Trophy Games' upcoming game Warhammer AoS: Soul Arena in their top featuring category for upcoming game releases.
Only very few carefully selected games get through the eye of a needle and get featured in Google Play's top featuring category for new games "Pre-registration games", so it is with delight CEO of Trophy Games, Søren Gleie states on the news:
"Only 26 games are currently selected as highlighted games in Google's pre-registration featuring category. With tens of thousands new games being released every month in the Google Play store, it is the ultimate stamp of approval we can get from Google Play before the game is even released.
I am very happy that our publishing department has secured getting the app featured. It is very important to us because this is the first time that we have had a game that benefits from such an important global spotlight.
We expect getting featured will give the game close to 100,000 pre-registrations and it will give the global release of the game a very strong foundation when fully launched to the market."
Warhammer AoS: Soul Arena is a new game from Trophy Games and is an autobattler game based on the world famous Warhammer IP from Games Workshop.
Some of the biggest game studios in the world wanted in on the auto battler genre. Both Tencent, Blizzard and Valve helped to the genre's enormous gain in popularity, while Riot's auto battler title, Teamfight Tactics, was among the most played and streamed games worldwide in 2021.
Riot's Teamfight Tactics had in 2021 over 10 million daily active users and were more popular on Twitch than Overwatch, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Rainbow Six and many other AAA titles.
Warhammer AoS: Soul Arena is expected to be globally released in late January 2022 and is currently open for pre-registration from 20 countries in the Google Play store. Later this week pre-registration will open for all countries. Once the game is released all pre-registrants will get the game auto-downloaded and installed to their devices.
